The Whiskey Rebels are an original country band with talented female vocalist Crystal O’Connor. Crystal grew up singing in church but got her first taste of the spotlight singing in county fairs at 10 years old. Crystal started her solo venture into music in 2019, writing her first song “Legend” – a song about taking a chance on yourself and your dreams. She followed that up with her Country Girl Anthem called “Back Country.” Catching the attention of local podcast/radio station BeyondFM, she dove into the music world head first, writing new songs and culminating in the release of EP “Out of the Barrel”
Both “Legend” and “Back Country” have had air time on local country station KFAV 99.9 FM and independent radio station KDHX 88.1 FM. Crystal O’Connor and the Whiskey Rebels are 3 time winners of the “Best Country Band/Artist” award from the All-Missouri Music Awards (AMMAs).
The Whiskey Rebels are comprised of band mates with varying musical backgrounds and feature a fresh take on the 90s-00s power country – a heavier Rock/Americana/Country hybrid that is sure to tickle your ears. They are a high energy in-your-face group who have played venues such as the Factory, Pop’s, Diamond Music Hall, Illinois State Fair, Main Street Honky Tonk, and many other venues. Crystal & The Rebels have shared the stage with acts such as Ward Davis, The Comancheros, Walker County, the Preston Ary Band, Steven Bankey & the Flatland Band, The 45, The Wild & Free among many others.
